Ardent Six is the last of six crews and four Armidale class patrol boats that will form the Ardent division, based in Cairns.

The role of Ardent Six is to provide one of six rotational crews for HMA Ships Bundaberg, Wollongong, Childers and Launceston - the ACPBs that make up the Ardent Division. Together with the other crews, our role will be to primarily to provide vital border protection against illegal fishing and people smuggling in Australia's Northern waters.
