Aware One is the first of three crews and two Armidale Class Patrol Boats that will form the Aware Division, based in Darwin.
The role of Aware One is to provide one of three rotational crews for HMA Ships Maryborough and Glenelg which will constitute Aware Division. Together Aware Division's role will be to provide vital border protection against illegal fishing and people smuggling in Australia's Waters and Northern Approaches.
