Civilian Engineer Development Program Introduction

Navy Strategic Command is offering opportunities to embark on a rewarding and challenging career for civilian engineering graduates and undergraduates in Head Navy Engineering (HNE) Division Civilian Engineer Development Program. This is an 'Australian Public Service (APS)' based program within the Defence environment and offers exciting and diverse learning opportunities that encourage professional growth and development of your engineering career.

Who are we looking for

HNE wants to develop your engineering skills in the following disciplines:

Engineers Australia (EA) recognised competencies

The professional development of HNE civilian engineers is structured for individuals to achieve appropriate levels of professional status, specifically that of Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng), as well as be registered on the National Professional Engineers Register (NPER) as required by EA. The attainment of the CPEng status is achieved by participating in the Civilian Engineer Development Program, which was designed by EA in conjunction with HNE.

Chartered Status is exclusive to Engineers Australia and is a professional credential recognised by government, business and the general public worldwide. CPEng membership will be fully funded by HNE upon completion of all the required competencies.

For more information see Engineers Australia.
