Basic Facts

Canberra has a population of approximately 360,000 people and is Australia's largest inland city. Located 281 km from Sydney and 660 km from Melbourne, Canberra is less than two hours drive from the South Coast and, in the opposite direction the Snowy Mountains are about the same distance away. Canberra is a well-spaced city, divided into four main 'town centers': Woden, Tuggeranong, Belconnen and Gungahlin.

Climate

Canberra is known for its four distinct seasons, temperatures can get as low as -8°C with snow in winter, to over 40°C in summer. Average seasonal temperatures are as follows:

Social Network of Graduates (SNOG)

SNoG is a non-profit organisation run by graduates for graduates and has been around for nearly 10 years. The aim of the organisation is to connect Graduates of public service institutions in Canberra through various activities and events. It is especially applicable for Graduates relocating to Canberra from interstate by giving them the opportunity to meet new people and familiarise themselves with the ACT.
