HMAS Albatross Charity Golf Day

The annual HMAS Albatross Charity Golf Day always enjoys enthusiastic Base-wide support and 2008 's day on the green attracted more than 270 personnel with Defence, contractors and local businesses coming together to raise funds for the Shoalhaven Hospital Children's Ward.

This was Albatross's 11th Charity Golf Day and the event organisers delivered a social and enjoyable day for golfers and non golfers at a first class venue with the added incentive that all proceeds raised went to a very deserving cause.

Players teed off in perfect conditions raising over $7000.00 which was presented to local paediatrician Dr Mark De Souza at the Awards Dinner.

Winners of the 2008 HMAS Albatross Golf Cup were Partech Champs with the Scratch Winners of the Kongsberg Plate being Uncontrolled Airspace.
