Hands Across the Sea: The Great White Fleet 1908-2008

A major symposium at Darling Harbour, Sydney, NSW in conjunction with the Australian National Maritime Museum's new exhibition: Great White Fleet - US sea power on parade 1908

This major international symposium will feature speakers from Australia and the USA. It will explore and celebrate the centenary of the American fleet visit to Australia in 1908 and the significant impact that this visit had on the Australian people, the future development of the Royal Australian navy, and Australia's long-term security relationship with the United States.
