Helo Arrives for Northern Trident

Preparations for Operation Northern Trident 2009 were finally complete as the S-70B-2 Sikorsky Seahawk helicopter landed onboard HMAS Sydney not long after the ship departed Fleet Base East on 23 April 2009.
The helicopter will play an important role during the deployment by demonstrating the versatility of the Seahawk helicopter, in both FFG’s and FFH’s, as well as exercising and testing Anti-Surface and Anti-Submarine Warfare capabilities.
