How to apply for the Civilian Engineer Development Program

Applications for the next Civilian Engineer Development Program open in July 2010.

Selection for an Engineering position will be based on:

• academic results,
• referee comments,
• assessment against prescribed selection criteria, and
• interview performance.

Permanent appointment to the Department of Defence is subject to satisfactory completion of the probationary period, as well as obtaining a security clearance relevant to each position. Successful applicants must be Australian citizens. If you currently hold Australian residency you will need to receive your Australian citizenship prior to being considered for employment with Defence.
