Lords and Greenwich Naval College

No cricket fan’s trip to London would be complete without a visit to the world famous Lords.
"Visiting the home of cricket in the UK was a terrific experience. To stand in the Long Room in the members pavilion where many an Australian and English Test Captain have stood before and look over the pristine grounds was very special," said LEUT Libby Duggan.
"The ground has maintained some of its old charm through the member’s pavilion, but it was greatly contrasted by the spaceship looking media box which was installed 10 years ago. I saw The Ashes urn but it was locked away behind a glass box, I don't think the MCC trusts us Aussies not to take it back and never return it.”
"I'm a little disappointed we won't be in London when the series commences but I'll be sure to watch the scores closely as Northern Trident continues on through the USA," she said.
"After my visit to Lords I just had to go and see the stunning Painted Hall of the Greenwich Naval College and I stood in the exact location where the great Admiral Lord Nelson lay in State before his state funeral after the battle of Trafalgar in 1805. The room was simply breathtaking, and I was told that the paintings took 19 years to complete."
"To be in the same location where such an amazing Naval leader lay 204 years ago (almost to the day of my visit) after taking victory for his country but losing his life at the Battle of Trafalgar, was a pretty special experience and one I'll remember for a long time," said LEUT Duggan.
