The discovery of the wreck of the Australian Hospital Ship Centaur (AHS Centaur) will enable families of the Australians on board the ship to know the resting place of their loved ones, 66 years after it was sunk north east of Brisbane.

This Day In History

9 Feb 1910   HMAS Parramatta, the first warship built for the RAN, was launched at Govan, Scotland, by Mrs. Asquith, wife of the British Prime Minister. A bottle of Australian champagne was broken across the destroyer's bows.
