The Mark 75 Mod 0 Gun is a fully automated, remotely controlled gun mount which stows, aims and fires 76mm 62 calibre ammunition. Automatic water cooling of the barrel allows sustained operation at high firing rates.
The Gun is primarily a defensive weapon against aircraft and missile threats, however, it can also be used effectively against surface and shore targets.
