Naval College Leave

Once trainees have completed their Initial Training Period (ITP) they are able to proceed on local weekend and evening leave. If you wish to travel further than say Wollongong to the North or Batemans Bay to the South, you will need to apply for what is known as short leave. This is a very simple process that you will learn after ITP.

When proceeding on leave there are specific dress guidelines that you will need to follow as you are representing the Navy 24/7. These are summarised simply as you can wear what is socially acceptable in Australian culture, however, your clothes must not be ripped or torn and must not bear any offensive slogans.
