816 Sqn helicopter at Canberra Stadium
The Royal Australian Navy, as part of its sponsorship deal with the CA Brumbies, participated in the final home game at Canberra Stadium with a winching demonstration by a Seahawk helicopter from 816 SQN, interviews with sailors by Chris and Sarah from FM104.7 from the live broadcast area outside the Mal Meninga Stand, a performance by the Royal Australian Navy Band and a merchandising stand distributing Brand Navy promotional material.
With a crowd of over 20,000 there to witness the final home game appearance of Brumbies legends Stephen Larkham, George Gregan and Jeremy Paul and opening of the Gregan-Larkham Stand, it was a memorable night and perfect stage to help promote the Navy to the public.
