Navy:Browser support

The Navy website should render and function correctly in any standards compliant web browser. The website has been specifically tested in the following web browsers:

Microsoft Internet Explorer
Mozilla Firefox
Google Chrome
Apple Safari

The Royal Australian Navy does not endorse any specific web browser software. The Navy does however recommend that the latest version of your preferred web browser be downloaded and installed on your computer. With this in mind, the Navy website will only support the current version plus one version prior of the browser software listed above.

This will have little if any impact on most web browsers. However, in regards to Internet Explorer, a major impact will be observed by users of Internet Explorer 6 (IE6) - two versions prior to the current version (IE8). The Navy website no longer renders correctly in IE6. The Navy regrets any inconvenience this may cause. A free upgrade to the latest version of Internet Explorer is available on the Microsoft website.
