The last Fleet Review took place in Sydney more than 20 years ago. On the 13th March 2009, 21 Naval vessels lined up in column outside Sydney Heads from 0400, which signified the conclusion of the Fleet Concentration Period and Exercises. At 0745, the ships entered Sydney Harbour in column formation prior to proceeding to anchor, for which HMAS Newcastle was the third in line and was anchored near Fort Denison.
