Publication:Sea Talk Autumn 2007/Getting the most out of PACMAN eLearning suite
By Steve Long*
There is new help for Navy members and their families who have questions about pay and conditions.
The Defence Pay and Conditions website already contains the answers to your questions. However, there is a lot of information on the website and it can be useful to have some help to focus your search.
The new Getting the Most Out of PACMAN eLearning suite makes finding those answers easier. It contains five separate courses so members, their families, administrators and decision-makers can choose the course that focuses on the information most relevant to them.
The information contained in the website and explored in Getting the Most Out of PACMAN includes:
- PACMAN, which contains the detailed policies, rates and eligibility criteria for pay, allowances and conditions of service; and
- The quick-reference Member's Guide to ADF Conditions of Service in Australia 2007 which provides an overview of the information contained in the PACMAN but does not provide rates of pay and allowances.
Getting the Most Out of PACMAN is designed to help members and families find the information they need for all pay and conditions of service issues through the use of real-world scenarios that ensure the training is practical and useful.
There are tailored courses for administrators, decision-makers, members and partners, and families.
