These days, when service providers are fond of talking about 'one-stop shops' and 'hot-lines' to attend to the needs of Navy families, there's a growing list of useful 'phone numbers.
Whether you want to dob someone in for dishonesty, obtain help for a problem relating to alcohol or other drugs, or seek advice about harassment in the workplace, there are lines - some of them operating 24/7 - for you.
| Family Information Network for Defence (FIND)
A particularly useful line is the Family Information Network for Defence (FIND) operated by the Defence Community Organisation. As the title implies, if they are unable to help you themselves, they will help you find the people best able to help you with your problem. | 1800 020 031 |
| National Welfare Coordination Centre (NWCC)
The National Welfare Coordination Centre provides a 24/7 information and referral service for families of deployed personnel. The NWCC is to provide timely, accurate information, reassurance and support and referral to other family support agencies. | 1800 801 026 |
| Defence Whistleblower Scheme Hotline

| Inspector-General of the ADF
The Inspector-General of the Australian Defence Force (IGADF) was established early in 2003 to provide (among other things) an avenue for complaints of unacceptable behaviour, including victimisation, abuse of authority, and avoidance of due process where change of command considerations discourage recourse to normal avenues of complaint.
