By Lieutenant Commander Steven Retallack

Naval Reserve pay processing has been elevated to a higher level by Navy Personnel and Training and the Corporate Support Infrastructure Group with the recent signing of a Standard Operating Procedure by the Director General of Navy Personnel and Training, Commodore Matt Tripovich, and the Assistant Secretary Personnel Services, Mr. Charles Oakenfull.

The Standard Operating Procedure provides a detailed set of processing rules, for Navy and Corporate Services and Infrastructure Group, to ensure that Reserve salary is processed and paid in the most efficient manner possible within the current system.

While signing the SOP on behalf of Navy, CDRE Tripovich said: "The development of this SOP sets in place an easily understood set of processes that will see Navy's Reserve personnel's remuneration processed at the same efficient level that those personnel provide their service to Navy."

Mr. Oakenfull said: "CSIG are always looking to enhance the delivery of our services to Navy and the placement of this SOP is a good example of how a service provider and customer are able to work together to the ultimate benefit of the personnel who deliver capability."
