A. Able Seaman Boatswains Mate Tanya Lee Matilda King
Q. What is your job and how long have you been posted to the ship?
A. My jobs onboard include helmsman, lookout, small arms weapons expert, seamanship, ships husbandry.
Q. What hobbies do you have to do in your spare time whilst at sea?
A. In my spare time I like to write, play Nintendo DS or PSP and listen to music.
Q. Where did you grow up?
A. Bulleen, Melbourne.
Q. How do you find the living conditions onboard the ship at sea?
A. The café is an awesome place to relax as a junior sailor, the gym has a good set up too.
Q. What is your favourite sport and who do you follow?
A. AFL, The Hawthorn Football Club (Go Hawks).
Q. What are you looking forward to doing in the Middle East the most?
A. Going to Dubai and seeing the sights.
Q. What has been the funniest thing you have seen happen around the ship since we left Australia?
A. The Weapons Electrical Officer and the Supply Officer sinking their kite in the kite flying competition last weekend.
Q. What are you looking forward to when we get home?
A. Seeing my family and friends and Christmas.
Q. What is your favourite dish on the menu onboard HMAS Toowoomba?
A. Pavlova.
