HMAS Toowoomba continues to maintain the fitness rage with the Strongman competition in the weight room, sporting events in some interesting ports; biggest loser's battling the bulge, and some of the crew working towards 100 fitness classes with Clubs proved.
What better way to let off some steam than to run around on the only green patch of grass for miles playing Soccer in Salalah, then across the Arabian Sea for a game of Soccer and Cricket in Karachi, and to top it all off Touch Footy, Netball and Cricket in Dubai.
100 Club. We're now past a third of the way through the deployment and the half way mark is just around the corner. With this in mind some of Toowoomba's fittest are well on their way to completing 100 Physical Training Sessions with Clubs. Take a look at our top twenty:

| AB Whitfield – 62 | CMDR Ingham – 40 | AB Hogben – 32 |
| LEUT Young – 54 | AB Bowman – 37 | LS Baskett – 31 |
| PO Minett – 54 | LS Lockyer – 36 | AB Thwaites – 30 |

Tug of War was conducted earlier in the patrol, with 3 teams representing their department. Due to surface conditions on the flight deck a winner could not be determined for this competition, however, “Supply” and the “Mechanical Technicians” were definitely the strongest departments. The Bridge Team AKA “Eyes Front” took it out for best dressed.
Strong Man / Women’s Competition. We were on the edge of our seats watching LSCD Almond and POMT Gilmore battling it out in the competition for Toowoomba's strongest man. It was the “Happy Gilmore” in the end who won the clash - winning the Bench Press, Bicep Curls and Seated Press. LSCD Almond proved he could kick a door off its hinges by dominating in the Squats and Dead Lifts. LSCSO Nicholas also kicked some butt, winning the women's division by a long shot.
Biggest Loser. Well, although we have some temptations to push through, such as the muffins and tim tams we get for afternoon tea, or the unlimited soft serve ice cream we have access to for dessert, we are still managing to stay on top of our weight loss goals. We have now lost a total of 103kg. The BL winner for Patrol Two is ABCIS Catherine Creighton who lost 3.3kg which is 4.6% of her initial body weight.
