Week two for Rankin Division.
Shakedown - Rankin Division before starting the shakedown in very cold and wet weather conditions.
Tyre swing – Farncomb class attempting the tyre swing. The aim here is to get the class from one side to the other without touching the middle.

Forced march – Ovens class during the forced march. The forced march is basically a fast walk throughout the bushland areas of HMAS Cerberus.

Pool activity – Collins class attempting the pool activity. For this activity recruits are required to jump from the platform, swim under water and come up through each hole then swim to an area and tread water. They are then given some flotation devices to help with the 40 minute tread water.

“My class, (Dechaineux class), after only two weeks are pulling together really well as a team. I don’t like doing perimeter runs when we occasionally do the wrong thing though!
