Royal Australian Navy Officers and Sailors from HMAS Melbourne (III) will exercise their right to Freedom of Entry to the City of Melbourne for the last time, before the ship's decommissioning later this year, with a formal parade commencing at Southbank, St Kilda Road on Saturday, 14 September from 11:00am.

A Freedom of Entry is the most honourable distinction a city may bestow on a contingent of the Australian Defence Force and is celebrated with a ceremonial parade through the city streets.

RAN Band Melbourne will be performing at this event.
