Visitors to the IFR can take part in the International Fleet Review online photography and art competitions for a chance to win prizes up to $4000 thanks to the Australian Defence Credit Union. These two competitions will enable photographers and artists to compete for great prizes by uploading their original artworks or photographs of the IFR to the competition websites.

The Australian National Maritime Museum, Darling Harbour, will then host an exhibition of the best 50 artworks and photographs, with their creators invited to attend a reception at the Museum in early December, where winners will be announced and prizes awarded. If photography or art isn’t your thing you can still get involved by voting for your favourite images online via the websites, or just check out the amazing images and artworks being submitted.
Destination NSW are running a competition in the Brisbane Courier Mail and Melbourne Herald Sun newspapers to win a trip to Sydney for the IFR including flights and accommodation.
Legacy/IFR Secondary Schools NSW and ACT History Essay Competition
The International Fleet Review schools history essay competition, supported by Legacy and with assistance from the History Teachers Association of NSW, aims to raise student awareness of, and interest in, the origins of the Royal Australian Navy. The Navy is offering both a senior and a junior history essay competition for NSW and ACT secondary school students.
