The HMAS Cerberus Heritage and Learning Centre (aka museum) is located on the base and features a large heritage collection of artefacts, photographs and memorabilia.

The beach and bushlands around the bay provide beautiful surrounds for walks and expeditions. Other activities popular in the region include horse riding, trail bike riding, canoeing, sailing, windsurfing and kayaking.
