Far East Strategic Reserve Wreath Laying Service

Australia's Federation Guard at the Shrine of Remembrance.

This service commemorates those who served in the Far East Strategic Reserve.

The British Commonwealth Far East Strategic Reserve (FESR) was a joint military force created in the 1950s. Based in Malaya, the FESR consisted of Australian, British and New Zealand units and acted as a forward defence point in South East Asia. Australia provided personnel from the Army, Air Force and Navy over the years the FESR operated.

This service is organised by the FESR Navy Association. They aim to promote the recognition of the FESR's RAN component.

RAN Band Melbourne Bugler will be performing at this event.
