HMAS Eyre's Ship's Company will commemorate 125 years of Naval service with an historic Freedom of Entry parade through Tasman Terrace, Port Lincoln on Saturday 24 October 2026.

Members of the public are welcome to attend. Come along and enjoy this event which highlights the bond between the Royal Australian Navy and the Port Lincoln community.

The parade will commence at the corner of Eyre Street and Tasman Terrace and proceed up Tasman Terrace,  where the formal Granting of Entry will take place. Before the parade concludes on the Foreshore lawns.

The Freedom of Entry is one of the oldest and most honoured customs in military history. It symbolises the trust and respect between a military unit and the community it serves. During the parade, Navy personnel from HMAS Eyre will march in ceremonial uniform with swords drawn, bayonets fixed, drums beating, colours flying and music provided by the Royal Australian Navy Band.
