In 2026, HMAS Cerberus Ship's Company will commemorate 125 years of naval service. The occasion will be marked on Saturday 31 October, with an historic Freedom of Entry parade through Mornington.

Members of the public are welcome to attend.

Come along and enjoy this event celebrating the bond between the Royal Australian Navy and the Mornington Peninsula community.

The parade will proceed along the Esplanade and Main Street before concluding at Albert Street.

The Freedom of Entry is one of the oldest and most honoured customs in military history. It symbolises the trust and respect between a military unit and the community it serves.

During the parade, Navy personnel from HMAS Cerberus will march in ceremonial uniform with swords drawn and bayonets fixed. The Royal Australian Navy Band will provide music as personnel march with drums beating and colours flying.
