The annual Defence Seaworthiness Symposium is again being held at the Australian Defence Force Academy, Canberra on 17 September 2020.

All members of the Defence maritime community are invited to attend the Symposium to hear where the Defence Seaworthiness Management System (DSwMS) has made a difference.

Defence leaders, seaworthiness practitioners and industry representatives will discuss how the DSwMS has changed their thinking and how it has improved the way in which Defence generates seaworthy maritime capability.

The Office of the Seaworthiness Regulator (ODSwR) is providing a creative solution to deliver its content to the broader maritime community. This year ODSwR has engaged Redback Connect to assist with how we connect, communicate and collaborate, helping to live stream the event around the country to ensure no one misses out.

COVID-19 awareness has impacted travel and group sizes and while there will still be a physical attendance portion of the event, it is limited to 60 Canberra-based attendees only.

We are looking forward to your online or in-person participation.

More information on the event, agenda, and registration details (for online or in-person participation) can be found on the 2020 Symposium website at https://www.defence.gov.au/seaworthiness/Contact_Symposium2020.asp.
