Recruit School Contacts

Contact times

Recruit School Divisional Staff may be contacted during business hours, 7:30am to 4:30pm (0730hrs - 1630hrs). When contacting Divisional Staff, please call the Divisional Chief Petty Officer in the first instance.

Please note that privacy and legal requirements will restrict what information can be released on personnel over 18 years of age without their consent.

Recruits may be contacted in their accommodation block on the foyer telephone at the following times:

  • 4:30pm to 6:30pm (1630hrs - 1830hrs)
  • 8:30pm to 10:30pm (2030hrs - 2230hrs)
  • Evening meal is from 5:15pm to 6:00pm (1715hrs - 1800hrs).
  • Recruits are expected to have their lights out at 10:30pm (2230hrs).
  • Calls to blocks are to be restricted to three (3) minutes.
  • Calls may be received at the above times during the week or on weekends.

Should you wish to contact the Recruit School Duty Officer, the Recruit School Duty Instructor will arrange this for you.

 

Postal address

Mail is delivered to and collected from Recruit School daily. Depending on which intake number the recruit enters he/she will be in either EMMS, ROGERS, TAYLOR, SHIPP, or Mentoring Division.

There is a small local post office on base and Recruits are able to both send and receive mail. To receive mail, it should be addressed as follows:

Australia Post is the only courier allowed to enter HMAS Cerberus.

NOTE: Due to being a training establishment, HMAS Cerberus Local Post office is not allowed to receive alcohol. Furthermore, Recruits are not permitted to possess alcohol during their training. Alcohol received by Australia Post may be seized for destruction and Recruits may be subject to Administrative or Disciplinary Action.
